Celtic assistant Chris Davies has told that “the situation is always open” when talking about Manchester City attacker and former loanee Patrick Roberts in Monday’s press conference.
The 32-year-old senior man was presented in front of the media ahead of Tuesday’s Scottish League Cup clash against Kilmarnock.
He discussed a number of topics, including the 20-year-old right-winger after Sky Bet installed the Premiership title winners as favourites to land his signature this summer.
Davies was understandably coy with his answer, as quoted by the official Celtic Twitter account and didn’t want to give too much away, but he did not rule out a move completely.

Roberts joined Celtic on an 18-month loan deal in January 2016 and proved a success, winning two Premiership titles, a Scottish League Cup and a Scottish Cup during his time at the club.
In total the attacker played in 60 matches for the Hoops and also managed a return of 17 goals and 21 assists.
He is still contracted to Manchester City until 2020, but first team chances are still likely to prove hard to come by with the cash-rich Premier League side spending out on Bernardo Silva to add to their already impressive attacking options this summer.
In other Celtic transfer news, Tam McManus believes this top-flight star could help Rangers move closer to the Hoops.
