£4.5m Celtic player has everything he needs to follow in van Dijk footsteps
Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham looks like a player who is made for a career with the Hoops, and then a move to England after once again overpowering the Rangers midfielder.
The 22-year-old has all the attributes you need to be a success in one of the big leagues in Europe – pace, power and an eye for goal, which he has shown on eight occasions this season.
His almost telepathic understanding with Scott Brown has been key to the Hoops’ progress this season, as the pair have formed a solid partnership which teams have found difficult to break down.
He was also one of the few players to emerge with credit from the Hoops’ Champions League campaign, as he didn’t look out of place there at all and was a sand-out performer, unlike most of his team-mates.
The Hoops paid Manchester City £4.5million for the player in the summer, and already it looks like when he is eventually sold the Bhoys could get double that price back.

Ntcham looks set to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Fraser Forster, Virgil van Dijk and Victor Wanyama into the Premier League, although fans will be hoping that isn’t for another few years yet.
Ntcham has been one of the best signings made by Brendan Rodgers in his time as Hoops boss, and his dominant display against Rangers was proof that sometimes paying that bit more gets you a player who can give you that extra bit of class.
