Celtic tipped to make another 'massive' hire 'quickly' after Postecoglou news - pundit
Alan Hutton has tipped Celtic to appoint a new director of football “quickly” following Ange Postecoglou’s arrival as manager.
The former Scotland defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the Hoops need to get their transfer business underway as soon as possible ahead of a “massive season”.
Celtic confirmed they had appointed Postecoglou as manager last week (Thursday, 10th June).

As revealed by Football Insider back in March, Celtic also want to bring in a new director of football.
Hutton suggested Celtic would “ramp up” their pursuit of a new appointment with Postecoglou finally in place.
Asked if he thought Celtic would appoint a director of football soon, Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “Yeah. You’d hope so, if I’m honest.

“They’ve taken that long to get Postecoglou in so they’ll be looking to ramp it up and do it quickly. I’m pretty sure they’ve got a lot of candidates they’ve got been interviewing or looking at. They need to get this process moving as soon as possible.
“They need to get moving as it’s a massive appointment. There’s going to be players moving, the loanees have left, there’s a lot of gaps there. It’s a big job.
“You know what it’s like, the manager’s come in and all of a sudden they’re interested in the Australian national team. That’s normally what happens. They have to hit the ground running.
“It’s a massive season with a lot of big decisions will be made. I’m sure they’re going to have to get onto it as soon as possible.”
The Bhoys’ former head of football operations, Nick Hammond, left Parkhead at the end of March.
Head of recruitment Gary Penrice was also expected to leave at the end of the season but there has been no official update.
