Celtic tipped to sell £5m star as club 'confident' of completing Maeda deal - McAvennie
Frank McAvennie insists one striker will have to leave Celtic if Ange Postecoglou wants to sign Daizen Maeda in January.
The former Hoops hitman, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claims Albian Ajeti could make way for a new striker.
The report also states that well-placed sources believe a deal will be done.
The striker is the top scorer in the J-League this season, scoring 18 goals in 32 appearances.
Kyogo Furuhashi, who signed for Celtic in the summer, is still third in the goalscoring table though he has made 10 appearances less than Maeda.

If Postecoglou is to sign another striker from Japan, McAvennie insists Ajeti, the £5million signing from West Ham, will have to make way.
“I mean it’s another transfer we don’t know about,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“But after what happened with Kyogo, you have to trust him.
“My issue would then be who plays? There is Jota and Giakoumakis as well as Kyogo.
“Then there’s Ajeti as well. So I would certainly expect a striker to leave if one is to come in.
“Ajeti had a decent spell but hasn’t done it for the majority of his time here.
“If this guy comes in, I think it’s a given Ajeti will probably leave.
“I would have absolutely no problem with that.”
Ajeti, 24, has scored three goals in 13 appearances this season.
He failed to make the squad as the Hoops drew with Livingston last weekend.
