Celtic to reunite Thomas Frank and Christian Norgaard after latest Parkhead update
Celtic are expected to consider the appointment of former Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank this summer.
The Dane was dismissed in February after going more than a month without a win in the Premier League, with Tottenham now on the verge of a historic relegation.
The 52-year-old has retained his reputation due to his time at Brentford, where he led his side from mid-table in the Championship to the top half of the Premier League.
The Hoops are in need of a rebuild themselves after a season that has seen two permanent managers, Brendan Rodgers and Wilfried Nancy, depart.
Should Frank be named Celtic’s next manager, he could well move to reunite with Arsenal midfielder Christian Norgaard.

Frank has emerged among the favourites to take over at Celtic this summer, with Robbie Keane also expected to be considered.
After the calamity of Nancy’s appointment, it is crucial for decision-makers at Parkhead that they can get their next choice right.

Celtic’s squad desperately needs an overhaul, too, with the new manager set to play a big part in the summer business.
Should Frank be appointed, it would be a safe prediction to assume the Dane will attempt to reunite with Norgaard.
The pair first crossed paths when the manager was in charge of Denmark’s Under-17s, with the midfielder joining him with the U19s when he later took them over.
Once Frank had been appointed by Brondby, he immediately sought out and signed Norgaard from Hamburg in 2013, utilising him there until he was sacked in 2016.
While the future Arsenal man’s career took him to Fiorentina, Frank was working his way up at Brentford until he eventually was named manager and could reunite with his favourite player.
In total, Norgaard has made 262 appearances for Frank and appeared in 11 seasons. While he could not get him to Tottenham last summer, the Dane could well bring him to Parkhead if the stars align.
Norgaard is under contract at Arsenal until 2027, but could be set to leave in a cut-price deal after making just six Premier League appearances this season.
What Norgaard said about Frank reveals all
Norgaard is 32, but he remains more than capable of playing at the Premier League level and would be a great signing for Celtic.
Speaking about Frank after his appointment at Tottenham, he said: “Thomas is very personal with the players. He cares a lot about how we are and how we feel.
“It’s a very important quality for a manager to have. Not every manager has it, and the ones that do seem to have more success.
“He’s definitely a leader and someone who guides us. He’s done a fantastic job in the years that I’ve worked with him at Brentford.”
Norgaard never managed to win a trophy under the management of Frank, and a move to Celtic could be the perfect way to break the duck.
