Alan Hutton has suggested Celtic need to sign one more player for their transfer business to be complete.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Rangers right-back said the Hoops need to find a "rock" for the midfield similar to Scott Brown.

Celtic have recently been linked with Brazilian midfielder Vinicius Souza, 23, from Belgian side Lommel.

According to Dutch journalist Rik Efrink (6 July), a potential PSV Eindhoven move for the player is not on the table, which could leave the door open from the Parkhead club.

Souza has three years left on his contract with the Belgian club.

Hutton is adamant Ange Postecoglou's transfer business will be done if the club can fill the defensive midfield position.

"Ange is not messing about is he," he told Football Insider.

"He’s done it in all previous windows. He’s identified who he wants and he’s going for them. I think it’s really good business from Celtic.

"I think if you look through the team they look strong. Possibly the only area that I can see at this moment in time is that kind of player to take over from Scott Brown.

"I know everybody, towards the back-end, was saying that he was passing quite safe. But I think that kind of defensive midfielder, that rock that can free up [Callum] McGregor, [Matt] O’Riley, [Reo] Hatate or whoever is playing in there. For me, I think that’s an area they could look at.

"If they get that in, I think they’d have had a great window."
