UEFA name Celtic player as one to watch out for in 2018
Kieran Tierney has been named as one of the top 50 best young players in Europe and one to watch out for in 2018, according to UEFA.com.
The left-back was picked out by journalists who decided on the list due to the fact that he has captained both Celtic and Scotland at the age of 20, and turned-in some good performances in the Champions League group stages.
Tierney has been a mainstay in the Hoops side since breaking into the team under former manager Ronny Deila.
He has taken his game to a new level under Brendan Rodgers, and is established at both club and international level, and was a major part of the Bhoys side which won their first domestic treble since 2001 and set the British unbeaten domestic record of 69 games.
His performances have unsurprisingly caught the eye of teams in the Premier League, with the Daily Record reporting that he is on a list of targets drawn up by Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho.
The only danger facing Tierney is that he may face burn out, as the Daily Record have reported that he has played more minutes than any other outfield player in any league in Europe.
The Hoops would be well advised to bring in a left-back during the January transfer window to give Tierney some time off, to ensure that he is able to finish the season in style.
