Alistair Johnston reacts to emotional message as Celtic exit confirmed
Alistair Johnston has reacted to a new message from departing Celtic player Maik Nawrocki after he officially joined Lens.
Celtic have endured a summer transfer window so far, with fans becoming irate at their lack of incomings and slow overall business.
Martin O'Neill is facing a tough last six weeks of the window as the Hoops look to make major changes to their squad, with the new season soon to be underway.
Several fringe players are set to leave Parkhead this summer, with Nawrocki one of those after his loan spell at Hannover last season.
The 25-year-old officially joined Ligue 1 side Lens over the last weekend on a deal worth around £2.5million.
He has now taken to Instagram to send a heartfelt message to the Celtic supporters, with several current players reacting to his post.

Nawrocki joined Celtic in 2023 from Legia Warsaw for a reported fee of £4.3m, so they have lost money on his services in the last three years.
The Polish centre-back only managed to make 18 senior appearances for the club, with the majority of those coming in his maiden campaign before he enjoyed a strong spell at Hannover last term.
He was largely unfancied by Brendan Rodgers during his time in charge, while O'Neill has clearly seen fit to allow him to leave permanently, even for a loss.
Nawrocki took to Instagram on Monday night to send a lengthy message to Hoops fans, teammates and staff, to which Johnston left a like.
Johnny Kenny, Paulo Bernardo, Luke McCowan, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Viljami Sinisalo and Kyogo Furuhashi each also did the same.
Could Johnston leave Celtic this summer?
Right-back Johnston struggled with injury woes last season, but recently impressed for Canada at the World Cup and may well be set to leave Parkhead soon.
Anthony Ralston recently signed a new contract at the club, while fellow right-back Colby Donovan is emerging from their academy ranks and will not be sold anytime soon.
Sources have previously told Football Insider that Bournemouth will sell Julian Araujo permanently this summer after his strong loan spell at Celtic.
Recent reports have stated that Celtic are back in for Araujo right now, so all the signs are pointing towards a potential exit for Johnston.
