West Ham United are closing in on a deal for Arne Engels, but the midfielder was still in action in Celtic's opening game of the season.

The 22-year-old has been the subject of huge interest from the Championship club, with Football Insider understanding that personal terms have been agreed.

Last season, the Belgium international notched seven goals and eight assists in 46 games, becoming a key figure in the Scottish Premiership.

It was only a matter of time before a big-name club snapped up his signature, and fans at the London Stadium will be keen to know what he's capable of.

He's had some huge moments for the Hoops, and while he didn't score the only goal in the 1-0 win over Dundee on Monday, 3 August, he was key to the victory.
