Celtic supporters do not want Miguel Chaiwa to sign for their club after a new update revealed that he is pushing for a move to Parkhead.

Celtic are keen to make several signings as the transfer deadline edges ever closer following the start of the Premiership campaign.

Fans are growing frustrated with their slow business, with just two fresh faces through the doors at Parkhead so far.

Martin O'Neill has made it clear that he needs to bolster his options in midfield as Arne Engels is linked with a move away.

Hibernian's Chaiwa was linked to the Hoops earlier on in the window, and a new report from CeltsAreHere claims that he is prioritising a move to Parkhead in the coming weeks.

They also state that Hibs' £4million asking price is set to be lowered ahead of a possible switch, but Celtic supporters do not want their club to proceed with a deal.

Celtic fans do not want 'rotten' Miguel Chaiwa to join from Hibernian

Chaiwa joined Hibs from Young Boys last summer after he had helped the Swiss side to Super League glory since coming through their academy.

The 22-year-old scored twice in 33 appearances for David Gray's side last season as they finished fifth in the Premiership.

Sources exclusively revealed to Football Insider earlier in the summer that Celtic were interested in Chaiwa but unwilling to meet Hibs' £7m valuation of his services.

Now his camp has publicly revealed that he wishes to complete a move, but Celtic fans have made their feelings clear on whether he should join their club.

One supporter took to X to say: "It's unforgivable if we go from Hatate/Engels to Miguel Chaiwa."

While another added: "Not a chance he should be anywhere near Celtic."

And one supporter wrote: "Not for me. No upgrade on what we already have. In fact, a lot worse."

West Ham plan to beat rivals to Arne Engels deal - Nuno 'will make promises'

What is the latest on Arne Engels leaving Celtic?

Celtic have been linked with moves for several midfielders in the last few weeks as Engels is touted to make an exit.

The Belgian international has registered 17 goals and 22 assists in 100 Hoops appearances and is on the radar of several English clubs right now.

Journalist Alan Nixon revealed on Wednesday that West Ham are set to return with a bid worth £30m for Engels to get a deal over the line before the window closes.

They have already seen multiple offers for his services rejected, but may well accept a revised bid.
