Martin O'Neill can relieve any pressure on him as Celtic manager by leading his side to a win against Rangers on Sunday, sources have told Football Insider.
Celtic fans have begun to question O'Neill's position in charge of their club after a tough week of results.
They lost 3-0 to Rangers last weekend in the Premier Sports Cup and followed that up with a 3-1 defeat to Ferencvaros in the Europa League in midweek.
O'Neill has been tipped for the sack despite the Hoops sitting top of the Premiership with a 100 per cent win record so far.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, he can end any internal thoughts of such a move by beating the Gers on Sunday.
Celtic host the Old Firm at Parkhead with Derek McInnes' side sitting second in the league on a run of five wins in a row.

O'Neill is not facing the sack if Celtic lose, but the pressure would certainly be on to react quickly after the international break.
The Hoops' board could be forced into a decision if they lose on Sunday and continue to struggle as the season progresses.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "He's under no immediate pressure right now and I think that Martin O'Neill will be hoping that he can get a response from his side this weekend in the first Old Firm league game of the season.
"Things could be a lot rosier come the end of that day, as they will be eight points clear of Rangers in the table if they win that game."

They were unable to match the Serie A club's valuation of his services, with the Hoops' chiefs deciding against a move after failing to qualify for the Champions League.
