Celtic manager Martin O'Neill may quietly be a little disappointed with his side's 7-1 win over Hearts on Sunday.

The Bhoys romped to a huge victory on home turf, with Kieran Tierney, Benjamin Nygren, Callum Osmand and Camilo Duran all chipping in with goals.

The emphatic victory has put the Glasgow giants four points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership, after Rangers could only draw away at Dundee on Saturday.

However, amid all the positivity surrounding Celtic's latest victory, O'Neill will surely still have genuine concerns about the form of striker Kasper Hogh.

The Danish frontman became the club's record buy when he joined from Bodo/Glimt for £11million in the summer, but he is now without a single goal since 9 August.

O'Neill would have been desperately hoping that Hogh could get in on the goalscoring act when he introduced him from the bench on the hour mark, but that didn't prove to be the case.

Martin O'Neill has to use domestic games to boost Kasper Hogh

Hogh's lack of form has arguably become O'Neill's biggest problem in recent weeks, and the 7-1 demolition of Hearts unfortunately did nothing to help him solve it.

The 25-year-old notched an assist during his 30-minute cameo, but for strikers, there is simply nothing like the confidence that comes with finding the back of the net.

Hogh's return of three goals in his opening six league games is far from concerning, but when you consider that all three came in the same game back in August, there should be an element of concern there.

The new arrival was expected to tear up the Premiership this season, but he is finding it difficult to catch fire at Celtic Park right now.

With that in mind, O'Neill surely has to play him as often as possible in the domestic match-ups, which in theory, should be easier games than those in the Europa League, to try and instil some confidence in his new star.

The upcoming meetings with Hibernian, Dundee United and Falkirk are all prime opportunities to get Hogh back on the scoresheet, and O'Neill simply cannot afford to bench him for those games.

Anthony Ralston has become victim of 'dysfunctional' Celtic setup

Celtic star victim of 'dysfunctional' setup

Former Aberdeen chief executive Keith Wyness told Football Insider last weekend that Anthony Ralston has become a victim of the "dysfunctional" setup at Celtic in recent months.

The veteran right-back is still waiting for his first involvement in the league this season, despite making 35 appearances in all competitions last term.

Wyness believes that Ralston does not deserve to be frozen out at his boyhood club, and feels that he still has plenty to give.

The defender is out of contract at the end of the campaign, and may not get the chance to prove that he is worthy of a new deal.
