Haissem Hassan omitted from Real Oviedo squad after Celtic submit bid – journalist

Real Oviedo have left Haissem Hassan out of their squad ahead of their pre-season friendly against Le Havre on Saturday.

This comes amid reports that Celtic have submitted a £9million bid for the 24-year-old winger.

The two clubs are not far from an agreement, with a few details still being ironed out.

As it stands, the Egypt international is currently awaiting the green light to travel to Glasgow and complete a move to the Old Firm club.

Celtic have been chasing Hassan since the 2026 World Cup, after his wonderful performances for the North African nation.

Previously, the Hoops had submitted a £3.4m bid for the attacker which was turned down.

It has been clear for weeks that Martin O’Neill was in need of reinforcements on the wings after they only scraped the Scottish Premiership title last season.

However, Celtic will now be hoping to get a deal over the line for Hassan before their upcoming Champions League playoff tie against LASK.
