Centre-forward heads to top-flight club after Leeds deal terminated two weeks ago - report

Former Leeds United striker Eoghan Stokes is closing in on a move to Ireland Premier Division club Bohemian, according to a report.
The Irish Sun claims that Stokes, 21, headed to the Dublin club on Monday night to have his first training session with them after he had his deal at Elland Road terminated on February 1.
It was understood that the centre-forward was edging towards signing for Shamrock Rovers after he featured in a friendly match against Brentford B last weekend, but now it seems he has chosen to join their bitter Dublin rivals instead.
The report adds that Bohemian are eager to sign up Stokes ahead of their Friday night top-flight fixture, which is ironically against Shamrock.
Stokes had made just one senior appearance at Leeds before he has his deal ripped up two weeks ago.
He has spent five-and-a-half years as part of the youth set-up in West Yorkshire.
Football Insider verdict
Some Leeds fans were pretty surprised to see Stokes had his contract ripped up by the club after the transfer window slammed shut, however he now has a perfect chance to earn a solid amount of senior football in his home nation. If he does well enough at Bohemian, he may just earn himself a move back to England in the future. The Ireland Under-21 international could make his debut in a controversial way against Shamrock, so he could be public enemy number one to the away fans on Friday night at Dalymount Park. Leeds fans will no doubt be pleased to see that one of their youth products has at least been able to secure a new club.
