Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel could face the sack after latest development - pundit
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel could be “in trouble” at the end of the season, according to Paul Robinson.
The former Spurs and England goalkeeper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested the 48-year-old’s job could be in doubt if the Blues crash out of the top four.
Chelsea’s poor league form continued on Saturday with a 2-2 draw against Wolves at Stamford Bridge.
Thomas Tuchel’s side have won just one of their last five Premier League fixtures.
Arsenal and Tottenham are hot on their tails with three games of the season remaining.
When asked by Football Insider if Tuchel would likely be sacked in the summer if Roman Abramovich was still in charge, Robinson said:

“We all know how trigger happy Chelsea have been with their managers. If you don’t win a trophy you are normally in trouble.
“Often the manager would change after a season like this. Tuchel could well have been in trouble if Abramovich was still in charge.
“On the flipside, the situation that Tuchel has had to deal with is not easy. It is a situation he did not expect or want.
“Would they have gone out of the Champions League and have had such a slump in league form if things behind the scenes were stable. There has been a lot of outside influences this season.
“If you look at Chelsea’s season on face value, you would probably question Tuchel’s future come the end of the season.”
