Chelsea fans are unanimous after 'crazy' Kepa Arrizabalaga twist
Kepa Arrizabalaga's performances for Bournemouth this season have made Chelsea regret the decision to send him out on loan.
Enzo Maresca has been through the wringer with Chelsea's goalkeeping department this season, as both Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen's spells between the sticks have been marred by multiple errors.
Chelsea fans aplenty are keen to see Sanchez sold in the summer after several high-profile blunders this term, particularly with Maresca having sent out several of his other options out on loan for the season.
Djordje Petrovic's form for Chelsea's sister club Strasbourg hasn't gone unnoticed on their march towards the Champions League, but another forgotten man has also been making waves much closer to home.
Kepa going from strength to strength at Bournemouth
As Chelsea fans grow increasingly frustrated with Maresca's persistent faith in Sanchez, forgotten man Kepa is quietly having his best-ever Premier League season as part of Bournemouth's European push.
| Player | Appearances | Clean Sheets | Goals Conceded | Errors |
| Robert Sanchez | 26 | 7 | 30 | 5 |
| Filip Jorgensen | 6 | 1 | 9 | 1 |
| Kepa Arrizabalaga | 25 | 6 | 33 | 1 |
| Djordje Petrovic | 26 | 9 | 31 | 0 |
Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Kepa has "turned his career around" at the Vitality Stadium, and Monday's clean sheet against Fulham was his seventh of the season.
Brown also told Football Insider that Bournemouth will attempt to sign Kepa permanently this summer despite Aaron Ramsdale's availability, with the Spaniard having rebuilt his reputation on the south coast.
Chelsea fans react to Kepa display amid goalkeeping crisis
Although Football Insider revealed last month that Kepa is Bournemouth's number one target heading into the transfer window, the final decision is Chelsea's, with no option to buy included in his loan deal.
However, Chelsea fans on social media have urged the Blues to bring the Spaniard back to Stamford Bridge, saying that it's "crazy" Kepa is still their "best goalkeeper" after so much money has been spent.
With other supporters arguing that Kepa would "walk into the side" based on their current goalkeepers' displays this term, Maresca and Todd Boehly were urged to bring him back into the fold next season.
It remains to be seen which colours Kepa will be donning next season, but given Chelsea's transfer strategy of late, expect plenty of new competition to be brought in at Stamford Bridge this summer.
