Sources: Chelsea in advanced talks over Lewis Hall deal
Chelsea are in advanced talks with rising star Lewis Hall over a new contract, sources have told Football Insider.
The 18-year-old, who can play at left-back or in midfield, is regarded as one of the best prospects to come through the Premier League giants’ academy in recent years.
Chelsea are ready to reward Hall for his rapid progress with a new and improved deal as they look to secure him on a long-term contract.
His current agreement is due to expire in the summer of 2025.
Hall has made seven first-team appearances for Chelsea so far this season and is so well-regarded by manager Graham Potter that he has kept multiple big names out of the starting XI in recent weeks.
Hall made his professional debut in January last year, playing the full 90 minutes in a 5-1 FA Cup third-round win over Chesterfield.

He laid on the assist for the Blues’ third that evening, which remains his only goal contribution for the club.
All of his appearances this term have come at left-back, the position Marc Cucrella was signed for £60m from Brighton to strengthen in the summer.
Hall is one of a number of stellar academy products produced by Chelsea in recent years, with the club having banked over £200million in homegrown player sales since 2015.
The youngster has also represented England at under-15, 16, 18 and 19 levels.
