Chelsea are considering a move for Celtic youngster Karamoko Dembele, according to a report.

The Sun claim that the Premier League giants have begun moves to sign the 14-year-old starlet.

It is understood that the Blues have placed the teenage winger back on their radar and that they want to land one of Europe’s best young talents.

Chelsea have already landed a talented youngster from Scotland this summer, with 16-year-old Billy Gilmour making the switch to Stamford Bridge from Rangers.

Dembele only signed a contract with the Bhoys back in June and is currently at the centre of a tug-of-war between Scotland and England for his future services to international football.

The attacking midfielder usually plays on the wing and his progress is being closely followed by most Celtic fans.

He played for the club’s Under-20s side at the age of just 13 and is being tipped to become a star.

The winger is known for having blistering pace and technical ability, talents that Chelsea want to harness in London.

Football Insider verdict:

Dembele is being tipped to become a star and it will be interesting to see if he can live up to all the hype. The winger is known for incredible skill and has already shown his talents at Under-20s level. Celtic should reject any approach from Chelsea for the 14-year-old and continue to help his development in Scotland. He is already being fast tracked up Celtic’s various age levels and it would be in the best interest to remain where he is. Dembele would be nowhere near the Chelsea set-up for a good few years and could become just another youngster brushed under the carpet at Stamford Bridge. Brendan Rodgers is keen to promote youth at Celtic and he has a better chance of reaching their senior level in the next few years.

In other Celtic transfer news, they have agreed a deal for a senior man after he quit a Championship club.
