Chelsea are on the hunt for their next manager after Liam Rosenior was dismissed on Wednesday.

The Blues have been on a disastrous run of form, and are now unlikely to achieve Champions League qualification.

As a result, their next appointment is vital as the club faces a massive summer ahead.

Now, one bookmaker has priced Eddie Howe taking over at Stamford Bridge at just 20/1, with Oddschecker on 24 April confirming that these odds have been slashed.

The Newcastle United manager has been regularly linked with the sack this season, and would no doubt be a shock Chelsea appointment.

Would Eddie Howe succeed at Chelsea?

While Howe might be seen as quite a shrewd appointment by some, many signs point to him failing.

Newcastle’s campaign this season has been nothing but a disaster, with the club now unlikely to qualify for Europe and are languishing in the bottom half.

Their performance in the cups was also terrible, with the Magpies being embarrassed by Barcelona upon their Champions League exit.

While many issues have led to this, one of the biggest is Howe’s inability to spend his money wisely, with many of their summer signings being huge flops.

Therefore, if a move to Chelsea were to transpire, he would likely be given another big budget, something he clearly cannot be trusted with.

However, there are plenty of signs that he could succeed, having previously guided Newcastle to a top-five finish in two of the last four seasons, something that Chelsea are now desperate to achieve.

Who else is linked to the Chelsea job?

Football Insider has exclusively revealed that Cesc Fabregas and Filipe Luis will be considered to replace Rosenior.

This has been reflected in the bookies, with the pair being two of the favourites to take over at 6/1 and 5/1.

The current favourite is current AFC Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola.

The Cherries boss is set to leave the club at the end of the campaign when his contract expires, and he has yet to confirm his next destination.

Potential outsiders include Frank Lampard at 10/1 and Oliver Glasner at 12/1.

However, it remains to be seen who Chelsea opt to appoint, with a big summer ahead for the club.
