Chelsea on brink of clinching £6million deal for Brazilian wonderkid Kenedy

By Chelsea correspondent Tony Hughes
Chelsea are closing in on the £6million signing of Brazilian wonderkid Kenedy.

The Premier League leaders are leading the race to sign the 19-year-old forward, who is also wanted by Manchester United, Barcelona and Juventus.
Chelsea are in advanced talks to capture Kenedy from Fluminese in what is a deal complicated by third-party ownership issues.
The London club are negotiating the terms of the deal with intermediary Giuliano Bertolucci, who also represents Stamford Bridge Brazilian trio Oscar, Willian and Ramires.
Chelsea’s plan is to complete the signing and then send Kenedy out on loan in order to get first-team football, with Roma one possible destination.

Kenedy, who has been compared in his country to Neymar, has played for Brazil at Under-17 and Under-20 level and is expected to progress to the senior side in the future.
