Chelsea set to land themselves in fresh ‘trouble’, Liam Rosenior a ‘victim of circumstance’
Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior is unlikely to be manager of the club next season, according to Keith Wyness.
The former Everton chief executive, speaking to Football Insider, believes Rosenior is a “victim of other circumstances” at Chelsea.
Rosenior has lost five of his last six games in charge in all competitions, with the Blues set to miss out on Champions League qualification.
The 41-year-old may have the remaining seven games of the season to save his job, with an FA Cup trophy still up for grabs.
Chelsea need to resolve Rosenior’s future before the summer transfer window, where playing trading will be important for the club amid their financial position.

Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes Chelsea are going to find themselves in “trouble” in the near future.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast, Wyness is unsure whether the owners will stick by Rosenior for next season.

He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “Rosenior is a key factor in this, and we’ve seen Chelsea really not doing well since he’s come in.
“The owners have said continually they’re going to stick with him, and he’s got next season, and they keep saying that, but I don’t know if that will happen. Now it’s not just Rosenior, and unfortunately for him he’s a victim of a lot of other circumstances.
“When I look at Chelsea right now, there was a phrase that stuck with me. Somebody said, ‘is Chelsea a football experiment or is it a private equity experiment?’. I’m tending to believe now it is a private equity experiment.
“If things don’t go exactly right in the way that they’ve done, with all this debt and all this spending, then they’re going to find themselves in a bit of trouble. I don’t think things are going right, and they are going to find themselves in trouble.”
Chelsea stars turning on Liam Rosenior
Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown revealed to Football Insider that Rosenior is dealing with a toxic changing room at Chelsea.
Chelsea’s players will have a major say in Rosenior’s future, with some unhappy when Enzo Maresca was sacked in January.
Rosenior has already had to deal with comments made by both Enzo Fernandez and Marc Cucurella surrounding their futures at the club, with the former given an internal suspension for two games.
Dressing room disharmony will not help Rosenior, and the former Hull City boss needs to ensure the players stick by him if Chelsea are to qualify for the Champions League.
