John Terry sends three-word message as Marc Cucurella makes Chelsea statement
John Terry has sent a message to Marc Cucurella on social media after the left-back issued an emotional goodbye to Chelsea.
Cucurella was Chelsea's first high-profile departure of the summer as he left for Real Madrid in mid-June.
His exit came out of the blue after he had impressed throughout last season, but he pushed to leave after expressing a desire to return to his home country.
Chelsea landed an initial fee of £47.4million for the 28-year-old's services, four years on from paying £56m to sign him from Brighton.
He has now taken to Instagram to properly bid goodbye to Blues fans, over five weeks on from his departure, after he became a world champion with Spain earlier this month.
Club legend Terry is among those to have reacted to his post, with more well wishes also coming from his former teammates.

Cucurella made 163 appearances for the Blues in his four seasons at the club, helping them to win the Conference League and Club World Cup last year.
He was lauded as one of the best left-backs in the Premier League last season, as he registered five goal contributions in 34 matches, and continued his fine form at the World Cup.
His Instagram post on Monday evening came from nowhere over a month on from his exit, as he took to the site to share a montage of some memorable moments at Chelsea, alongside a voiceover thanking the fans.
Terry replied to say: "Good luck mate," with blue heart and fist-bump emojis, while Reece James added a blue heart emoji and Trevoh Chalobah wrote: "Buena suerte, hermano."
Who do Chelsea want to sign as Cucurella's replacement?
Xabi Alonso has made it clear that he wishes to sign a new left-back to effectively replace Cucurella, although Jorrel Hato is in line to be a regular starter without European football to contend with in 2026-27.
Chelsea have been heavily linked with a move for Rayo Vallecano defender Pep Chavarria, but are struggling to agree a fee, as the Spanish club will not let him leave unless his £42.4m release clause is met.
Sources have revealed to Football Insider that Man United are set to accelerate a move for Lewis Hall soon, but he remains on the Blues' radar, having graduated from their academy as a youngster.
Fenerbahce left-back Archie Brown and Real Madrid's Alvaro Carreras are also believed to be on Alonso's radar right now, but they are no closer to replacing Cucurella over five weeks on from his exit.
