Chelsea fell to a disappointing defeat to Brighton, and Liam Rosenior will have felt the growing pressure at the Amex Stadium.

Ferdi Kadioglu opened the scoring after just three minutes, capitalising on slack defending at a corner, and it could have been more had they netted from Robert Sanchez's first-half mistake.

With Liam Rosenior raising eyebrows with a back-five formation at the Amex Stadium on Tuesday, 21 April, the Blues struggled to create anything of note, though it was of little surprise to the travelling fans.

Despite an improved second half, Chelsea went on to lose 3-0 to Brighton, with Jack Hinshelwood and Danny Welbeck adding a second and third, leaving the manager with huge questions to answer.

Moises Caicedo outclassed by Brighton midfield

Moises Caicedo has lost his touch in recent weeks, and that was evident at the Amex Stadium, being totally silenced by Carlos Baleba and Pascal Gross in the centre of the field.

Romeo Lavia was hooked after 73 minutes, but it just as easily could have been the Ecuadorian, who was late to a lot of second balls and never really looked confident in possession.

Liam Delap left out to dry by Liam Rosenior

With Joao Pedro missing from the squad, it would have been the perfect chance for Liam Delap to prove himself to the Chelsea manager, but he went completely missing against the Seagulls.

Some will feel that it was Rosenior who left him out to dry, but even when he was sent running in behind, the ball somehow always ended up back with Brighton.

Delap is already expected to leave Chelsea in the summer window, and this game will do him absolutely no good when it comes to the striker's future.
