Sources: Chelsea make Yves Bissouma transfer decision
Chelsea will only look to sign free agent Yves Bissouma if they suffer a major injury crisis in midfield, sources have told Football Insider.
Recent reports have claimed that Chelsea were offered the chance to sign Bissouma on a free transfer to bolster their lacking midfield options.
The Mali international remains without a club after leaving Tottenham at the end of his contract in June.
Chelsea have been linked to his services after sensationally missing out on Monaco star Lamine Camara on Deadline Day.
They are unlikely to make a move for Bissouma anytime soon, however, as Xabi Alonso is content with the options at his disposal.
Bissouma would also not be able to be registered in their squad until January unless they created a place in the squad, which is when they may look to make a new signing regardless.

Bissouma recently turned 30, and featured just 11 times across all competitions for Tottenham last season amid injury issues.
He could emerge onto Chelsea's radar soon, but only if they suffer several injuries that deplete their midfield depth.
Caicedo is out injured as it stands with a recurring muscle knock, but is expected back soon.
Gusto set for regular midfield role after failed Liverpool move
Chelsea refused to let Gusto join Liverpool late on in the summer window after they made a loan offer.
Sources have exclusively revealed to Football Insider that Alonso is keen to utilise Gusto in midfield more regularly this season after failing to bolster his options in the position.
He started there against Brighton last weekend and Alonso has Marco Palestra, James and Pedro Neto each able to feature at right wing-back in his absence.
