Sources: Chelsea star Genesis Antwi in advanced talks to join Strasbourg
Chelsea defender Genesis Antwi is in advanced talks to join sister club Strasbourg on loan, sources have told Football Insider.
The 19-year-old is in line to spend the season with the Ligue 1 club, with Chelsea keen for him to continue his development with regular game time at the top level.
Sources say a full agreement is close with a breakthrough in negotiations expected imminently.
A right-back who is also capable of playing on the left, Antwi has gained a number of admirers with his performances for Chelsea's academy sides over the last season.
He made his senior debut for the Blues during their run to Conference League success in 2025, and has been named on the bench for multiple Premier League games.
He is a Sweden Under-21 international, having made fave appearances for his country's youth side, and the Blues are now keen for him to make a step up to senior football.
Antwi put pen to paper on a new three-year contract at the start of last season, and the club reserve the option to extend his deal by two years, as they have high hopes for his future.

Chelsea have made the decision to send Antwi on loan to Strasbourg in a bid to help him make the step up to senior football at a high level, with hopes of regular minutes in Ligue 1.
At 19 years old, they are keen to see him tested at a higher level, but he is not part of Xabi Alonso's plans for the new season, making a loan move inevitable.
Sending him to their sister club Strasbourg will not only allow him to perform at the top level, but also help the Blues keep a close eye on his development.
Alonso and the coaching staff at Chelsea have high hopes for the right-back's future and see this as an opportunity for him to audition for more regular minutes.
Antwi will now become the latest young Chelsea star to join Strasbourg, following loan spells for Mike Penders, Aaron Anselmino and David Datro Fofana last season.
Which other academy stars could leave Chelsea this summer?
Antwi is far from the only academy starlet at Chelsea who will be allowed to leave the club on loan this summer, with the usual pathways set to be explored.
A number of big-name youngsters have already left the club, including Jesse Derry, who completed a season-long loan move to Sporting CP earlier this month.
Meanwhile, Football Insider exclusively revealed that Chelsea were aiming to loan out Harrison Murray-Campbell, who then completed a move to Beligna outfit KV Kortrijk.
Max Merrick and Kauden Wilson have also completed loan moves away, with the Blues keen for their up-and-coming stars to gain experience of first-team football.
