Chelsea supporters are desperate to learn the details of Tyrique George's permanent move to Everton following his recent display.

The 21-year-old winger spent the second-half of the 2026-27 campaign on loan at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, failing to register a goal contribution.

Very few expected him to make a return to Merseyside after that, especially with a £25million option to buy, only for the Toffees to renegotiate the fee.

David Moyes' side eventually splashed £18m on the player's signature, with potential bonuses seeing the deal rise to £24m if he succeeds this season.

Upon his return, George netted in Everton's pre-season friendly against Newcastle United, and has played a significant role in the campaign so far.

He played 84 minutes against Crystal Palace before coming on as a substitute against Preston in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, 26 August.

Chelsea fans already want Tyrique George back

While the player is still waiting for his first goal contribution in Everton colours, there is still plenty to like about his performances.

It took him just nine minutes to get fans on their seats at Deepdale, causing Alistair McCann to injure himself in an attempt to keep up with the winger.

Watching the footage going viral on social media, Chelsea fans are asking, "How much is that buyback clause again?" after a "disgusting" skill and burst of pace.

What are the conditions of George's Everton contract?

As already discussed, George has joined the Toffees for an initial £18m, but that figure could rise to £24m if he meets certain conditions.

The Blues also included a 15 per cent sell-on clause in the youngster's deal, meaning that they should profit from any future big-money transfer.

Sadly, for those at Stamford Bridge, it is not believed that George's contract includes a buyback clause, meaning that Chelsea fans must simply sit and watch.

He was never going to be given enough game time in West London to develop, but not including a buyback clause may come back to haunt the club.
