Joao Pedro has sent out a new message to Chelsea supporters just days after the Blues' stunning Club World Cup win over PSG.

Cole Palmer scored a brace alongside a Pedro strike before half-time to give Chelsea a convincing 3-0 over current Champions League holders PSG.

Tensions then spilled over after the full-time whistle when Pedro was confronted by PSG manager Luis Enrique, who could now face punishment over his actions.

The 23-year-old only joined Chelsea from Brighton in a £60million deal just two weeks ago after two seasons on the South Coast.

Chelsea enjoying Club World Cup celebrations

Following Club World Cup victory, Pedro took to Instagram to share pictures with his followers which included scoring against PSG in the final.

The striker captioned the post: "Predestined," which was liked by Chelsea captain Reece James and midfielder Moises Caicedo.

Both players also started against PSG, with James moving into midfield to play alongside Caicedo, whilst Malo Gusto started at right-back.

Enzo Maresca's tactics worked as he guided Chelsea to a second trophy of the season following their success in the Europa Conference League.

Their fourth placed Premier League finish also means the Blues will be playing Champions League football next season.

Pedro's stunning arrival paves way for Jackson exit

Football Insider Verdict

Having won the Club World Cup, Chelsea have banked an extra £88.2m this summer, already recouping the fee they paid Brighton for Pedro.

The Brazilian has hit the ground running with three goals in three matches for the club and could solve Enzo Maresca's striker problem.

Joao Pedro's record in all competitions during his two seasons at Brighton.

Before signing Pedro, Maresca had already bought Liam Delap and Jamie Gittens from Ipswich Town and Borussia Dortmund to add to his forward options.

Nicolas Jackson's time at Stamford Bridge has had mixed reviews and the 24-year-old is now the subject of interest from Aston Villa.

Jackson scored 10 Premier League goals in 30 appearances, with three of those coming in one game against a Spurs side reduced to nine men.

Maresca wants to upgrade the striker and Pedro's sensational start to life at the club suggests he could fire the Blues to more glory.

With the influential Palmer behind him, Pedro will be presented with plenty of chances, and Chelsea's trophy ambitions may rest on whether he can take them.
