Chris Sutton: This senior figure is close to leaving Rangers

Chris Sutton believes Mark Warburton’s time at Rangers could be nearing an end following Dave King’s comments at the club’s AGM last month.
Chairman King stated during the annual general meeting that he expected the Ibrox club to be challenging with their rivals Celtic.
At this moment in time, the Glasgow club are eight points behind their Old Firm enemies in the Scottish Premiership, with the Gers having played three games more.
Warburton’s side were beaten 2-0 at Hearts on Wednesday night, which saw the Tynecastle club overtake them into second in the SPL table.
Now, Rangers will host fourth place Aberdeen on Saturday afternoon at Ibrox and the Dons can leapfrog them with a win.

Former Celtic striker Sutton pulled no punches when he delivered his verdict on King’s comments about Warburton and his future at the club.
“Dave King took a cricket bat to Mark Warburton at the Rangers AGM,” Sutton wrote in his Daily Record column.
“That’s my honest opinion of the chairman’s thinly-veiled comments over the team’s achievements so far this term in front of the shareholders.
“So you have to wonder what King will be saying to himself if things go wrong over the next seven days.
“Could Warburton’s innings could be up? It might well be.”
Brendan Rodgers Celtic have inflicted two damaging and crushing defeats on their Glasgow rivals this season.
The Hoops beat the Gers 5-1 in the league in September, before knocking them out of the Scottish League Cup, thanks to a late Moussa Dembele goal.
Rodgers side have since gone on to win the trophy, beating Aberdeen 3-0 at Hampden Park last Sunday.
It means the former Liverpool manager has guided the Scottish giants to an unbeaten start in all domestic competitions this term, winning 15 games and drawing one.
In other Rangers news, Mark Warburton has made a loan approach for this La Liga player.
