Steve Claridge: This Tottenham star can bring his team to the next level on his own
By Harvey Byrne
Steve Claridge was full of praise for Tottenham star Harry Kane on Sunday, and the pundit shared he believes the striker can take Spurs to the next level on his own.
The 23-year-old England international brought out his immense quality against Fulham at Craven Cottage, as he finished the match with a hat-trick in his side’s 3-0 win.
Kane provided some excellent finishes following three delightful balls into the box from attackers Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli.
However, it was the striker who received all the applause from Claridge and the BBC pundit told that he felt Kane could life Tottenham on his own.
“Tottenham were absolutely fantastic, they have been top drawer,” told Claridge in the BBC Sport matchday blog (3.58pm)

“When you pick Harry Kane and Dele Alli, it shows there will be no excuses. They have done everything asked of them. It was a statement saying Spurs are taking this seriously.
“Kane can elevate Tottenham to another level on his own. The way the team shifted the ball and their movement off the ball has been fantastic to watch.
“Fulham will be disappointed by their performance. Manager Slavisa Jokanovic has not got the balance right with his team.”
Kane has been in magnificent form for Tottenham this season with a return of 19 goals and three assists in 26 appearances in all competitions.
His three goals on Sunday have brought his overall total to 83 goals in 153 encounters after breaking through the Spurs youth team and with his contract due to run out in 2022 fans will be hoping for many more goals from their talisman striker.
Tottenham’s win against Fulham means they are now one win away from a semi-final clash at Wembley and it could prove to be their only chance of silverware with Gent and Stoke coming up this week in both the Europa League and the Premier League.
