Michael Brown has claimed Daniel Levy’s loan-to-buy Carlos Vinícius deal is perfect for Tottenham.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, the former Spurs midfielder believes the club’s £36million option to buy the striker could prove to be a bargain.
Vinicius joined the club from Portugese side Benfica last Friday with Tottenham paying a £3million fee for the season-long loan deal.

The 25-year-old was not involved in the Lilywhites’ 6-1 win over Manchester United as the deal had not been given international clearance in time.
He is expected to be back up to England captain Harry Kane who has featured in all of Spurs’ game this season, including starting all of their league games.
Asked by Football Insider whether Vinicnius’ buy-out option could prove to be a bargain, Brown said: “If he can get going.
“They like those loan deals with an option to buy because they want to develop him and if it does go well you’ve already got him in.
“You see quite a few of them with Daniel (Levy). Classic. He likes them.
“He believes that they see the quality in a player but there’s still work to do with them you have an option.
“So it’s a good deal.
“It’s also about the amount of games they’re playing so I think Jose will be pleased with that.”
Vinicius was the top goalscorer in the Portugese Liga NOS last season, netting 18 goals in 32 games, with just 19 of those being stars.
The Brazilian moved to Porto last summer from Italian side Napoli for a £15million fee.
