Kane made the second of his Liverpool appearances on Tuesday night, playing the full 90 minutes of the League Cup quarter-final 5-0 defeat to Aston Villa while the senior stars were in Qatar at the Club World Cup.

He has already spent a full campaign in League One after spending last season at Doncaster Rovers, where he scored seven goals and provided 10 assists from midfield in 49 appearances in all competitions.

Liverpool are keen for Kane to accumulate as much senior experience as possible.

There are major doubts as to whether the youngster can make the giant step from the fringes of his parent club to the status of first team regular.

In other Liverpool news, it can be REVEALED that the club are working on another blockbuster deal after blizzard of agreements.
