CMC Markets makes £30m bid to sponsor Everton

Everton are already making key financial decisions behind the scenes as plans emerge ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.

Supporters at the Hill Dickinson Stadium have been massively excited ahead of the summer transfer window, especially after The Friedkin Group laid out their plans for the future.

It has been revealed that the club have been in talks with CMC Markets as a front-of-shirt sponsor from next season, with Stake currently donning their shirts in the Premier League.

Stefan Borson told Football Insider that Everton could agree a £10million-a-year sponsorship with the company, but that number appears to have risen significantly following a new update.

Everton set to agree exciting new deal

The Toffees have been searching for a new sponsorship ahead of next season, with bans against betting companies as main sponsors coming into place from the 2026-27 campaign.

According to Everton insider, The Bobble (28 April), CMC Markets, a London-listed company run by Lord Cruddas, has made an offer worth around £30million to sponsor the Toffees from next season.

There are some exciting changes being made on Merseyside, which all started with the move from Goodison Park last summer, with TFG bringing plenty of positives to the Premier League.

Stake began sponsoring the Toffees in July 2022, with the deal reportedly worth £10million, so this update would suggest a significant boost in finances on Merseyside ahead of next season.

How have the Toffees’ fans reacted to the news?

It is safe to say that the majority of supporters are excited about the sponsorship deal, with many actually taken aback by how much the agreement could be worth.

Many see the agreement as a “huge improvement” on what the club already have with Stake, potentially seeing them rise up the ranks in terms of Premier League sponsorship deals.

TFG have already made an incredible impact on Merseyside, with David Moyes’ side aiming for European glory this season, and all signs point forward from the new owners.
