Chelsea now value superstar Cole Palmer at between £80-100million, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider's Inside Track podcast, transfer correspondent Pete O'Rourke revealed that the Blues have hiked up Palmer's valuation after his outstanding debut season at Stamford Bridge.

The London giants paid a reported £40million for Palmer, 21, last summer from Man City, with a potential £2.5million on add-ons.

Well-placed sources have told Football Insider that Chelsea could seek over double what they paid the Citizens for the attacker's services, but they are not expected to sanction a departure this summer.

Chelsea set new bumper valuation for Cole Palmer

After his four-goal haul in the Blues' 6-0 thrashing of Everton on Monday (15 April), the England international went level with Erling Haaland as the Premier League's top goalscorer with 20.

It is believed that the monster fees paid for the likes of Declan Rice and Jack Grealish, who were both sold for no less than £100million, have informed the club's valuation of Palmer.

Across all competitions this season, Palmer has bagged 25 goals and 13 assists, including two goals and two assists in Chelsea's run to the League Cup final.

His incredible form saw him earn his senior debut for Gareth Southgate's England squad and he has been heavily tipped to be in the squad for this summer's Euros in Germany.

Chelsea sit ninth in the Premier League table after they demolished the Toffees earlier this week.

They are next back in action against Man City in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley Stadium on Saturday evening (20 April).
