Football Insider verdict:
Eric Lichaj thoroughly deserves his new contract after years of consistent and enforcing play along Forest’s back line. The FA Cup heroics highlghted some of the American’s abilities – so the Forest faithful can look forward to another 18 months of that. Aged at 28-years-old, the finishing line of Lichaj’s career is just about coming into view, hence why the new contract was not long-term. The new contract might help Lichaj to get over USA’s absense in this years World Cup.
