Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has had a difficult season at Arsenal

By Arsenal correspondent Tony Hughes

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been selected for Arsenal’s Champions League clash against Barcelona on Tuesday night.

The England international has been given the nod to start on the flank ahead of Theo Walcott, Joel Campbell and Danny Welbeck.

Arsene Wenger has made nine changes from the Gunners team that drew 0-0 against Hull in Saturday’s FA Cup clash.

Of the side who peppered Hull’s goal but could not find a breakthrough, only Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker – the latest Arsenal team news is that Gabriel is still injured – start against Barcelona.

The holy trinity of Alexis Sanchez, Petr Cech and Mesut Ozil are restored to the starting X1, as well as Olivier Giroud, Aaron Ramsey, Francis Coquelin, Nacho Monreal and Hector Bellerin.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is likely to be on the right flank, after starting the last two Premier League matches in that position.
