It is the third time in this summer’s transfer window that Dortmund have won the race to sign a player who has been strongly linked to the Merseysiders.
Jurgen Klopp was reportedly hoping to bring in Marc Bartra from Barcelona, but he was recruited by Dortmund for £6million, before midfielder Emre Mor made the same decision to join from Nordsjaelland.
Guerriero impressed for Lorient this season as they avoided relegation by seven points, and he was rewarded with a call-up to the Portugal national squad for Euro 2016.

He played a full 90 minutes as Portugal slumped to a disappointing 1-1 draw with Iceland in their first game of the competition.
Liverpool are currently in the market for a left-back, with Alberto Moreno failing last season to convince manager Klopp that he can be trusted as Liverpool’s first-choice.
As reported by Football Insider, Leicester’s Ben Chilwell is still the most likely man to come in and compete with the Spaniard, although Germany’s Jonas Hector is another option.
In other Liverpool transfer news, Simon Mignolet has admitted he has doubts ahead of the new season.
