Rangers have announced that promising trio Zak Rudden, Aiden Wilson and Jack Thomson have all signed new deals at the club.
The Scottish club confirmed on their official website on Tuesday afternoon that the youngsters had put pen to paper and committed their long-term futures to Ibrox.
Thomson and Rudden agreed new deals that will run until the summer of 2020, while Wilson signed on until 2019.
The triple deal represents part of an expected summer overhaul of the Rangers squad by manager Pedro Caixinha, who will be able to make his own transfer decisions for the first time since arriving at Ibrox in March.
Caixinha has already moved to hand veteran goalscorer Kenny Miller a one-year contract extension, while the club also confirmed on Tuesday that exciting prospect Billy Gilmour had agreed to join Premier League giants Chelsea.
However, the Portuguese is not likely to let up in his bid to revamp the Rangers squad in the coming months, and has decided to hand three of the club’s promising young prospects extended stays at the club.
Fans may be concerned over the club’s decision to part ways with Gilmour, but Caixinha’s move to maintain a bright future for Rangers’ remaining academy talent will certainly be regarded as three items of uplifting transfer news.
All three players have featured in the first-team squad over the last two seasons, although they have yet to make their senior debuts.
Wilson, a centre-back, has been named on the Rangers bench on three occasions under Caixinha this season, while Thomson featured in the first-team squad last term.
In other Rangers transfer news, this senior man reportedly intends to find a new club following talks with Caixinha on Tuesday.
