Confirmed Rangers line-up v Celtic: 29-year-old axed in three changes

By Harvey Byrne

Pedro Caixinha has made three changes to his Rangers team which takes on Celtic in the Premiership on Saturday afternoon.

The Portuguese manager has decided to bring Clint Hill, Josh Windass and Joe Dodoo into his starting eleven following last weekend’s 2-0 defeat to the Hoops.

The changes have resulted in 29-year-old Joe Garner being axed to the bench, while David Bates and Andy Halliday have also dropped out of the Gers’ line-up.

Rangers confirmed their line-up via their official Twitter account prior to the 12.00pm kick off at Ibrox.

Rangers will be looking to achieve revenge this weekend following the previous Scottish Cup semi-final defeat at Hampden Park.

However, it will be a difficult task with Brendan Rodgers so far unbeaten after all 33 of their Premiership matches with a huge 91 points.

The Hoops will be looking to complete the entirety of the league campaign unbeaten and with five matches left it is starting to look achievable.

But, fierce Glasgow rivals Rangers will be motivated to finally end that run on their own turf at this late stage.

Additionally, Caixinha’s men are still competing for a second placed finish while it’s still mathematically in reach, giving them a further incentive to pick up all three points on Saturday.
