By Laura O’Leary

Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that Harry Kane will be available for selection for the North London Derby.

In an interview with Sky Sports, the manager confirmed the positive news, downplaying the injury suffered against Crystal Palace.

He said: “He received a kick in his knee but don’t worry, he will be available in the next game.”

The striker who was captaining the side against Crystal Palace, hobbled off in the Palace game in the 77th minute.

The injury caused Kane to be unavailable for England, where he will be missing out playing in World Cup warm up games against Brazil and Germany.

The 24-year-old only just recently returned from injury against Real Madrid in the Champions League, after suffering a hamstring injury.

The hamstring injury caused Kane to miss the league defeat to Manchester United as well as the shock League Cup exit courtesy of West Ham.

The Hammers defeated Spurs 3-2 after coming from behind, to eliminate the side from the competition.

The England international has been a vital part of Spurs this season, in his 14 appearances across all competitions, he has scored 13 goals and grabbed two assists.

Last season, the in-form striker scored 35 goals in 38 appearances across all competitions.

Tottenham currently sit third in the Premier League with 23 points from the opening 11 games of the season.

This means they are currently eight points behind league leaders Manchester City, who are yet to taste defeat in the league.

In other Tottenham news, this Spurs star has admitted he thought his career was done after his injury nightmare.
