Coaching duo Chris Woods and Julian Dicks have signed new West Ham contracts, the club announced on Wednesday.

Woods and Dicks have been rewarded after emerging as key members of Slaven Bilic’s backroom staff at the east London club.

West Ham confirmed on their official website that goalkeeper coach Wood and coaching assistant Dicks have agreed two-year contracts with the club.

Former England stopper Woods and Hammers legend Dicks both joined the backroom staff last summer following the arrival of Bilic at Upton Park.

Under Woods’ guidance, Adrian had a fine campaign and was named in Spain’s provisional squad for Euro 2016, while Darren Randolph produced a series of strong displays to earn his position as Republic of Ireland No1 for this summer’s tournament.

Dicks, who forged a close relationship with manager Bilic during their playing days in east London, has added knowledge and passion to the Croatian’s experienced backroom team.

Posting on his Instagram page, Dicks expressed his delight at extending his stay in east London. “Over the moon to say I’ve just signed a new two-year contract,” he wrote.
