Conte 'clearly has problem' with Ndombele after revealing Tottenham source update - pundit
Paul Robinson has claimed “there is clearly a problem” between Tottenham manager Antonio Conte and Tanguy Ndombele.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former White Hart Lane number one insisted Conte, 52, “does not suffer fools” and will sell the midfielder if his attitude and application does not improve.
Ndombele was an unused substitute in Tottenham’s 2-1 win over Leeds on Sunday.
As quoted by Sky Sports (19th November), Conte said the Frenchman has to work “a lot harder” in training than others as he is not a team player.
A Spurs source has told Football Insider (25th November) that Conte has told the club to listen to offers for Ndombele in January.
Robinson pointed the finger at the club’s recruitment team for failing to do their due diligence on Ndombele.

“Ndombele is a top-class player but his work rate and attitude clearly isn’t good enough,” he told Football Insider.
“This is not the first time we’ve heard a manager say those things. Every manager has said it. There is clearly a problem.
“When you sign a player you do your due diligence. There was obviously something missed with Ndombele because the lack of effort in training and in certain games is visible. To sign a player for that amount of money you expect him to be the whole package.
“I cannot see Ndombele fitting in under Antonio Conte. Conte does not suffer fools no matter who you are or what you have achieved. If you are not doing what is asked, you will be out.
“This will probably be the end for Ndombele. Conte will have been given a lot of assurances and free rein. He holds all of the cards. Time is running out quickly for Ndombele.”
