Contract signed: Lawal becomes fifth Celtic summer signing - Sources
Bosun Lawal has signed for Celtic after completing the paperwork to become the club’s fourth summer signing, Football Insider understands.
The Scottish giants are yet to announce the arrival of the midfielder, 18, after he arrived in Glasgow on Tuesday morning to finalise his transfer from Watford.
But a Celtic source has told Football Insider that the deal is “done” and Lawal is now signed.
The Hoops will pay Watford a six-figure compensation sum for Lawal to cover his development costs.
The teenager was under contract with the Premier League new boys until his previous deal expired at the end of last month.
As revealed by Football Insider earlier this week, Lawal had already passed a Celtic medical before he arrived in Glasgow.

He has become the club’s fifth summer signing following last night’s arrival of Israeli attacker Liel Abada and the earlier captures of youthful trio Liam Shaw, 20, and Osaze Urhoghide, 21, and Joey Dawson, 18.
Like those three, Lawal has joined for a nominal fee or on a free transfer in what has been a low-key start to the window for Celtic.
But that is set to change in the coming days as the club finalise some big-money purchases who have been earmarked for first-team positions.
As revealed by Football Insider yesterday morning (15th July), Celtic have agreed a fee with Rubin Kazan for Sweden defender Carl Starfelt and he is expected to replace exit-bound Kristoffer Ajer.
Lawal was named the Watford 2020/21 academy player of the season and has been capped by Republic of Ireland at youth level.
Club captain Troy Deeney has described the Celtic new boy as an “effortless” talent who’s “going to have a career”, likening him to former teammate Abdoulaye Doucoure.
In other news, a huge Celtic bid is being submitted.
