Crysencio Summerville is set to push for a departure from Leeds United after the club failed to win Premier League promotion - and the club will not stand in his way.

Recently-crowned Championship Player of the Season Summerville, 22, is among the Whites' most saleable assets and generating a hefty fee from his departure would go a long way towards balancing the club's books and keeping them on the right side of spending rules.

A clutch of top Premier League sides are keen on acquiring the forward, including Aston Villa and Newcastle United.

He is valued by Leeds at around the £35-40million mark on the back of his highly impressive campaign.

It is understood that Summerville's likely summer departure is not solely down to the club's need for an injection of cash, but also the player's desire to move on following the Whites' failed promotion push.

Summerville racked up 21 goals and 10 assists across all competitions for Leeds this term as the Whites accrued 90 points in the Championship but still finished third behind Ipswich Town and Leicester City.

He has been criticised by United supporters for sometimes appearing disinterested and failing to perform in the most significant matches.
