Crystal Palace fans have been left unimpressed with the release of their next home kit for the 2026-27 campaign.

The Eagles unveiled their home jersey on Friday, with a different take on their traditional style.

For the new season, Palace will play in a predominantly white kit, with a blue and red strip going down the centre of the kit diagonally. A blue and red strip is also seen going along the shoulders.

As a result, the iconic sash has returned, 50 years on from its first introduction in 1976.

On top of this, the club has reintroduced the circular club crest that was originally used from 1973 to 1987.

However, Palace fans are not impressed with what they see ahead of the new season.

Crystal Palace fans blast new home kit design

The 2026-27 season is the start of a new era for Crystal Palace.

Oliver Glasner has departed and was replaced by Pierre Sage, who is aiming to recreate the same magic at Selhurst Park.

Palace are also still in Europe, and will compete in the Europa League this season after previously winning the Conference League.

Therefore, many fans were hopeful for an iconic kit as they look to continue their golden era into the new campaign.

However, many were far from impressed with the club’s latest announcement and quickly took to X to slam the design, believing it is not suitable to be the club’s home jersey.

When will Palace release their away kit?

While supporters may not be fans of the new home kit, it should not be long until the away jersey is released this summer.

In recent seasons, the away kit has been released in July, with the club launching it on their 2025-26 kit on 24 July last year.

Therefore, Palace fans could see their new away top come out over the next week or two.

However, given how long it took for the club to announce their home kit, fans may have to wait until early August.

Nevertheless, it remains to be seen when Palace will elect to release their new away kit as they look to oversee another successful campaign in the Premier League and Europe.
