Crystal Palace 'won't rule out' Ismaila Sarr exit as 'huge' offer could be accepted

Crystal Palace have not ruled out selling Ismaila Sarr despite concerns about losing too many of their star players this summer.

The 28-year-old enjoyed an outstanding campaign with the Eagles last time out, as he scored 21 goals across all competitions and helped his side to win the Conference League.

Meanwhile, he scored four goals in four games at the World Cup for Senegal, and those performances have attracted high-profile interest from a number of clubs across Europe.

Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that while Crystal Palace are extremely reluctant to lose Sarr, every player has a price.

A "huge" offer could be enough to tempt the Eagles to sell, although as things stand, he remains a crucial part of their plans ahead of his return to pre-season training.

Meanwhile, Pierre Sage is hoping not to lose any more key players following the sale of Maxence Lacroix to Chelsea and he does not want to see his squad weakened.

Could Crystal Palace accept offers for Ismaila Sarr?

Brown warned Football Insider in June that Sage could face immediate issues upon his arrival at Crystal Palace, with a number of star players attracting interest.

Alongside Sarr, there has also been speculation surrounding the futures of Adam Wharton and Jean-Philippe Mateta amid suggestions they could be allowed to leave Palace.

While the Eagles currently have no plans to lose any more of their best players this summer, they have not ruled out future departures in case of an offer they cannot refuse.

"Crystal Palace haven't ruled out selling Ismaila Sarr this summer," Brown told Football Insider.

"Their stance over his future is the same as with the rest of their players, if somebody wants to come in with a huge offer, they might find that hard to turn down.

"Obviously, Palace don't want to lose more of their best players because the squad has already been weakened by selling Maxence Lacroix to Chelsea last week.

"Sarr is a big part of their plans, he had an outstanding season last year, and they hope he will still be there to play a big part this season.

"Especially under the new manager, who won't want to lose any more of his best players after Lacroix left, it's going to be important to keep hold of players like Sarr.

"But ultimately, if a club comes in with big money for him, the type of offer you can't really turn down, Crystal Palace are in a position where they might have to let him go."

Which clubs are interested in signing Sarr this summer?

Despite Crystal Palace being reluctant to lose Sarr this summer, the idea that they could allow him to move on for the right offer is likely to put his suitors on high alert.

The Senegal international has most recently been linked with a move to Fenerbahce, with reports in Turkey talking up the possibility of a move.

Meanwhile, Football Insider reported on 20 July that Man United have emerged as the favourites to sign Sarr and are big admirers of the winger after his displays for Palace.

Scouts from the Old Trafford club are believed to have been impressed by what they have seen from him, with his displays at the World Cup also attracting attention.

Michael Carrick is aiming to add a new left-winger to his side given a lack of depth in the position, and while Sarr has predominantly played on the right, he can be considered a target.
