Crystal Palace fans are fuming with Oliver Glasner after it was reported that he is set to take over at Nottingham Forest as their new manager.

Reports emerged on Wednesday that Vitor Pereira is set to leave the City Ground, despite leading the Tricky Trees to survival.

Now, Glasner is expected to take over at Forest, just weeks after leaving his role at Crystal Palace.

As a result, many of the Selhurst Park faithful are fuming, believing that the 51-year-old has ruined his legacy.

Forest and Palace clashed off the field last season after the Eagles were kicked out of the Europa League in favour of the Tricky Trees.

As a result, Palace ended up in the Conference League, which Glasner was able to win.

Crystal Palace believe Oliver Glasner has tarnished his legacy

Upon leaving Palace at the end of the 2025-26 campaign, Glasner was arguably the club’s best-ever manager.

The 51-year-old guided them to three major trophies, including an FA Cup title in a real golden age for the Eagles.

On top of this, he left Selhurst Park with Palace still in good shape, as they prepare to play in the Europa League next season.

However, after The Telegraph reported that he was set to take over at Forest, many of Eagles fans are furious.

As a result, multiple supporters took to X to express their anger with their former manager, in what was a shock development.

Will Glasner succeed at Nottingham Forest?

If appointed, Glasner will be Forest’s fifth manager in less than a year, and will take over at a club that narrowly avoided relegation last season.

Therefore, despite his CV, the manager faces a massive task, not only to deliver results, but also to prove to Evangelos Marinakis that he is the right man to take the club forward.

The expected dismissal of Pereira shows just how harsh the owner can be, with the manager boasting a 40 per cent win rate.

However, if Glasner can get off to a good start, and have Forest comfortably mid-table, there is every chance that Marinakis will give the manager time to work his magic and be a success at the City Ground.
