Crystal Palace will play Europa League football next term after beating Man City in a historic FA Cup final last week.

The Eagles will bank healthy prize money for their results in Europe and will benefit from extra TV and matchday revenue as they embark on an exciting expedition.

Oliver Glasner has previous in the Europa League - having won the competition with former club Eintracht Frankfurt in the 2021-22 campaign.

Everton's former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – has shared his verdict on Palace making "wholesale changes" to their squad ahead of their league phase matches, starting in September.

Crystal Palace will be eyeing 'one or two additions', says Wyness

Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness insisted he believes the Croydon club will only want to make "one or two additions" to Glasner's current starting lineup.

Crystal Palace are guaranteed to finish at least 12th in the Premier League ahead of their final day clash with Liverpool on Sunday (25 May).

Wyness insisted they will "keep the bones of this squad intact" despite widespread interest in Eberechi Eze, Adam Wharton, Jean-Philippe Mateta and Marc Guehi.

He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “I don’t see them going out into the market too much - maybe one or two key additions.

“They should be looking to move up the league now as well.

“They won’t make wholesale changes with the European money.

“Palace will want to keep the squad together and add one or two where they see fit.

“The squad will recognise the opportunity to go into Europe together. They were very good at keeping players like Zaha around, so they’ve got form for it.

“I believe they’ll keep the bones of this squad intact.”
