Weather permitting, Celtic are set to return to action on Saturday when they take on Championship Morton in the Scottish Cup at Celtic Park, the match seems like an ideal one for Charly Musonda to return to the Hoops first team.
Musonda, who was signed on an 18 month loan deal from Chelsea in January, has had a stop-start beginning to his time in Glasgow.
The 2017/18 signing made his debut in a 1-0 loss to Kilmarnock, impressed in his cameo against Zenit in the first leg of the Europa League clash but was left on the bench for the second leg of the tie.
That decision seemed odd as the player was seemingly bought for the big occasions, but was left out of both Zenit matches and the recent vital league victory at Aberdeen.
If the Belgian is to thrive in his early days with the Hoops, he must start more games, beginning with the game against Morton.
The Championship side are a team which the highly-talented player should have a field day against, and a good performance would perhaps but him in Brendan Rodgers’ thoughts for the Old Firm clash at Ibrox a week on Sunday.
Musonda has time on his side at Celtic, but if he wants to make a big impact this season a good match to start would be against Morton.
