Darren Bent Exclusive: Aston Villa may have to do the 'Unthinkable' after official update
Darren Bent has suggested that Aston Villa might have to do the “unthinkable” and sell Jack Grealish after their serious double injury blow.
The former Villa and England striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, says that his old side could pick up a huge fee for the 24-year-old if they were to cash in on their star man.
Villa revealed on Friday that both Wesley and Tom Heaton would be missing for the rest of the season after picking up serious knee injuries against Burnley.

With Grealish in fine form this season, Bent says the Villans might have to boost their promotion hopes by selling up and using the money to strengthen other areas of the squad.
Bent told Football Insider: “It depends who’s out there but what they might end up having to do, and I know it’s probably unheard of and unthinkable, but they might have to sell Grealish.
“They’re going to get at least £60-80million for him and if they can get that amount of money they might go out and get two strikers and one midfielder for that amount of money, that are capable of doing something.

“Two strikers that can score and maybe another hard-working midfielder. I know you can’t lose your best player but at the same time he’s playing really well and you’re still in the relegation zone.”
Grealish has been the standout performer for Dean Smith since the club’s return to the Premier League, scoring eight goals and chipping with six assists.
In other Aston Villa news, Noel Whelan has made a big transfer claim after a “huge” update from Villa Park.
