David Gold delivers West Ham injury update on Twitter ahead of clash

By Harry Sykes

West Ham chairman David Gold has taken to Twitter to report a triple injury boost for West Ham ahead of their Premier League clash against Stoke this weekend.

Gold explained that Sofiane Feghouli, Robert Snodgrass and Sam Byram as well as skipper Mark Noble are all in contention for the trip to Staffordshire.

The joint Hammers owner made the revelation on his personal Twitter account on Thursday afternoon, which was an update on the bulletin delivered by manager Slaven Bilic at the start of the day.

Bilic had explained that central midfielder Noble would definitely return for Saturday’s fixture after missing the last two matches due to suspension.

Gold provided further information by adding that wing duo Feghouli and Snodgrass and right-back Byram were also ready to play after injury.

With four games remaining, the Hammers are 14th in the table and currently have 38 points, seven more than Swansea in 18th.

They have won just one of their last ten league outings while Mark Hughes’ side are in equally as bad form with just a single victory in their previous seven fixtures.

Just one point separates the two clubs going into the showdown at the Be365 Stadium and the loser could see themselves fall as low as 16th place if results go against them.

In Noble’s absence, Bilic’s team have drawn both their games, first gaining a point up from a 2-2 stalemate with Sunderland before recording a goalless draw against Everton last weekend.

In other West Ham transfer news, the club have been given an emphatic response in their pursuit of a bona fide Premier League goal machine.
